I don’t even know where to begin, there’s only one helpful lady I believe is named Laura. She’s kind and helped me out a lot. The rest of the people I dealt with when resizing my ring were cold and unfriendly or snotty and rude. The jeweler at this store obviously doesn’t know what he’s doing and didn’t spend quality time on my jewelry. I had to bring in my ring theee times to get it fitting correctly. One of the times it appeared he didn’t even do any work on my ring.
My wife needed her ring resized so we brought it in but no one could tell us what the best size would be after using the sizing device. We went with what we thought would be best and it was way too big. Brought it back in a 2nd time to get it sized down a full size and when we got it back the jeweler had done NOTHING to it! The third time he finally got it right. However, that was after several hours of my time wasted going back and forth.
In a nutshell, the customer service is far from consistent. You could have the best experience or the worst. I’d rather deal with a company that has a culture of respect for customers across the board without the bad attitude.
It wouldn’t have been so bad except the little blonde girl behind the counter had an attitude when I asked that the size be double checked before I left as I didn’t want to waste more time. She was rude and I could tell she had been talking about my wife and I behind our back for simply not blindly trusting that the size was right the 3rd time. Feeling like you as a paying customer are an inconvenience is not enjoyable, other businesses would gladly put up with my simple questions.
Ariel helped me find exactly what I was looking for to replace my old wedding ring set. Not only was she considerate of my budget, she did not hesitate to let me play around with the ring and bands so that I could find my style. It was her warming personality and not being pushy that got me to pay nearly 400 over the budget I had originally set.
She is employee of the year as far as I am concerned !
Laura is the MOST amazing salesperson EVER! I will not go anywhere else ever again. She was patient and met with us on 3 different occasions until we found EXACTLY what we wanted. She was the best person I have dealt with in a very long time.
Had a good experiencing purchasing a ring but once they had my money all customer service went out the window. They fit her for the ring size; size 5 was too small size 5 1/2 was too big so they recommended that the 5 1/2 would be the better option. After getting it back and seeing it was still too loose we spoke with another jeweler who was confused as to why they hadn't recommended a 5 1/4 size (which I didn't know existed as I was relying on their expertise). Further more, they knew the ring would be too large for her when I bought it since it came as a size 7. But the failed to mention that there is a standard clip you can purchase for about $2 that would have allowed her to wear the ring until we could bring it in to get it resized the initial time (I proposed out of the country so she couldn't wear it for a week). I received these tips from a mom and pop jeweler who I wish I bought from in the first place. I will never work with Fred Meyer again and would recommend the same to others.
Thanks for an AMAZING experience!
I’m a very positive, up-beat person so it’s very rare for me to write a negative review. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of 1 is because about half of the staff is very friendly and professional while the other half makes me never want to do business with them.
Any time I expressed my frustration, no one cared. I asked if a rush could be put on my after the second time of bringing it in and they promptly told be they don’t want to rush their jeweler otherwise he would do a bad job. Well he already did a bad job so I’m not sure what they were talking about. I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff by asking to get my ring resized again and again. They made it feel like it was my fault that my ring kept not fitting even though it was the jewelers.
Not impressed by the jeweler or the staff, I finally have my wedding ring back five weeks later. Go somewhere else if you’re going to spend your money, somewhere that has good customer service and knowledgeable jeweler if you need any repairs done on your jewelry.
