I LOVE Younkers!! I only buy my clothes here. I love the coupons, door busters, and all the great and wonderful people that work there! I am a platinum card holder from them and I love getting my black $20 coupons in the mail! Love Love Love this company! I won't go anywhere else!
Great products/ I have witnessed Managers treating Staff badly. A few Managers are very nice. Rebeccca, Becca, and Angie. People quitting left and right CONSTANTLY due to ill-treatment. The acquisition for this company must be a nightmare.

I have witnesses Staff talked down to in the most unprofessional, undermining, belittling manor I have come across in many years in the work field. The company should be ASHAMED to employ Management such as this. And what does that say?.. . Corporate IS NO BETTER.
At an event the Corporate boys STARED at some of the best employees at LENGTH like the employees were not humans but pawns or objects they owned. How horrible. Again. What does that SAY.. .
Younkers has good qulity merchandise, but they do not have enough sales clerks on the floor to help shoppers. When I worked there we always had 2 or 3 sales clerks in each department to wait on or check out people. They also used to have a lot more register's so people didn't have to wonder around looking for a place to pay for merchandise. Now shoppers have to stand in a long line just waiting to check out. It's no wonder retail stores are hurting. It makes me sad to see what is happening to our shopping malls.
The worst customer service ever! I made a return for a Christmas gift and received a merchandise credit. I walked around the store to find something else to purchase with the credit and settled on some perfume. After finding a fragrance I liked, I asked to purchase it. I was told that the fragrance wasn't actually carried in the store, it had to be ordered. I knew that Macy's actually carried the perfume in store and I could have purchased it there but I needed to use my merchandise credit and couldn't find anything else I wanted. So, I went online to find the perfume and was able to order it. Not less than 10 minutes after I placed my order, the order was cancelled by Younkers with no explanation. My merchandise credit was not returned to my card. I called customer service and waited for 10 minutes just to be cut off by their system. I called again and had another 10 minute wait. I was told that I would be receiving a "virtual gift card" by email later on that day which actually took more than 24 hrs. The availability of the credit should have been as quick as the cancelling of my order.
