I enjoy the 24/7 access as a night shift worker. On my day off it's great to have a gym I can go to in the middle of the night.
This is my back up gym. It's cheap but barely worth it. It is usually very crowded. I push heavy weights and the dumbbells only go up to 60lb. It's cheap and you get what you pay for. Unfortunately the quality gyms are not 24-7. I think PF may put the quality gyms out of business as a result of the price. Maybe PF will keep opening more locations and the crowds will be more manageable. I hope they buy more dumbbells. At least up to 100lbs.
I travel all over the country for work. This planet fitness is the best I've stayed in, for numerous reasons.
This is definitely a great place to workout. Lots of machines and options to fit any training style. Planet fitness is a good quality gym chain.
The gym itself is nice. The facility is usually clean and there are enough machines. However, there's hardly ever any good parking. Especially in the winter when the parking lot accumulates a giant snow bank. Plus the way to get to the gym is a bit annoying, since you have to either pass it and go through the family fare parking lot, or turn onto Potomac and take the back street behind all the restaurants. So overall, nice gym, but not very convenient.
